Necrophiliac movie.

I’m wondering if I’m suffering from a case of false memory here.

Many, many years ago when I was a teen, I recall seeing a film, late night showing, which starts off with what appears to be a beautiful love scene.

A man is making love to a woman who has a mysterious, ecstatic look on her face.

When he finishes he notices a blemish on her hand, I think between her finger and thumb, which I didn’t recognise myself but was told was rot.

We then realise that the woman is a corpse.

As I recall, the man goes off to the U.S , I think to find a replacement.

He is young, handsome, well off and the life and soul of the party type.

He is attracted to the heroine, who I think had a b/f but binned him.

Everyone idolises him, except of course the ex who suspects something.

She is all set to go with the villain of the piece to marry him in his own country, which I assume wasn’t where he said it was, but luckily truth and justice prevails and his evil scheme is thwarted.

Does anyone know what this film was called, or anything about it ?

Its been driving me round the bend for some time trying to remember its name, unless of course its as I said a case of false memory.

No idea, although it very vaguely sounds like Cherry 2000

Your description doesn’t sound like it, but the only films I’m aware of that address that theme are ‘Necromantic’ and ‘Necromantic 2’.

Wasn’t that a movie about a man who was in love with a robot not a corpse? When his original robot shorts out and “dies”, he goes looking for a replacement in the same model. So it doesn’t sound like the guy was a necrophiliac.

Dead Mate?

Could it be “The Horrible Dr. Hichcock”? It’s a 60s era gothic horror movie about a necrophiliac. When I used to live in a bible-belt town it was shown often on the late-night horror show.

Yes, that’s the one.

The reason I said it sounded very vaguely like it is because the guy goes off to find a replacement, with the help of a woman who I think fell in love with him.

No not so far guys, it would be around late sixties or early seventies, I think.

Nice post/username combo.

Look its just a weekend thing ok ?

I go out with living women during the week.
