So it’s my stepfather’s birthday today and, as I currently reside in India, saving the world one diabetic vegetarian at a time, I cannot be there to celebrate. Since sending a package would cost me more than the average yearly salary out here, I’d like to at least make him smile. Anybody know a good e-card site? The running tradition has been Hoops & Yoyo (if you’ve never seen 'em, they’re action-packed with hilarity) but between my family, we’ve kinda done that to death.
I need something new. Fresh. Clever. It doesn’t have to necessarily be sfw, or even a birthday card. Another running family joke is to get a card that has absolutely nothing to do with the holiday being celebrated. I once sent my sister a ‘congrats on your baby’ card… in Spanish… complete with my very incorrect but funny-to-me english translation… when she was in the hospital with Hodgkin’s Disease (she’s fine now and I like to think it was the magical gift of laughter that healed her… well, that and the chemo… but mostly the magic laughter bit…) Any help you can offer me would be dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles.
