Need a good parenting advice message board

I have a friend who has an 8-yr-old daughter. She’s a bright, intelligent child who has issues dealing with other children who aren’t so well-behaved or exhibit behavior that she knows should not be acceptable, but are anyway. One person is her cousin who tends to exaggerate (“You have 3 Barbies? Well, I have 7 Barbies” type stuff) and tends to be more free-wheeling (doesn’t respond to authority figures, etc).

My friend wants advice on how to deal with his daughter so that she doesn’t let these actions of other children get to her.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think very highly of StorkNet. There is a small subscription fee, but that mostly serves to weed out the jerks. I’ve gotten very good advice on a wide variety of parenting issues there.
