Need a rec for a good light-blocking sleep mask please

We don’t sleep in the same room, since he likes the TV on all night. I have wonderful earplugs, but the flickering light of the TV bothers me, and we’ll be traveling and sharing a room for 10 days. Please advise, thanks

I use this one, and it’s the best I’ve tried

I have an older model, though, seemingly similar in every respect apart from color. (I also paid a hell of a lot more than the product in the link). Unlike cheap sleep masks, the Tempur sleep mask actually blocks all peripheral light, and enables you to open your eyes normally while wearing it. I’ve spent few nights without one in the past four years, needing to replace the elastic bands once.

Or you could just tell your partner that the TV is staying off at night. I hope you don’t live in an apartment for the sake of your hypothetical neighbors.

I have some eye masks that I got from my local cheap shop - they have a gel insert which can be warmed or cooled, One side is warm microfibre and the other is satin type material. I really like this one because it conforms to my face shape really well (sometimes I have to squish the gel around a bit) so near perfect light block-out and it seems to help with my sinus issues. Sorry but I cannot seem to find anything quite like it online but I think I may NEED to buy one of these http://www.google.com.au/imgres?start=198&newwindow=1&safe=active&hl=en&biw=1092&bih=480&tbm=isch&tbnid=EdFU2j4wPN5G5M:&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/au/listing/130701190/the-yogi-eye-mask&docid=OjzBvEyb0g1kFM&itg=1&imgurl=http://img0.etsystatic.com/010/0/8006292/il_570xN.453765090_fky0.jpg&w=570&h=380&ei=EfYqUvmHM4emkAWd14DYCA&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:11,s:200,i:37&iact=rc&page=14&tbnh=176&tbnw=258&ndsp=16&tx=177&ty=119

for something crude, a rolled/folded up t-shirt works just as well to block out light. imho though, the hassle you have to put up with is greater than whatever enjoyment he gets out of having the tv on while he’s sound asleep.

I use a sleep mask every night, and the one I first found most effective was Bucky 40 blinks. I’ve since found one at Walgreen’s for much less. It fits me better and the elastic lasts longer. It’s their store brand and is plain blue: http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-sleep-mask-soft-velcro-strap/ID=prod6165628-product

I use the Bucky style, which I picked up at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Blocks out the fire of a thousand suns, extremely comfortable, easy to adjust to sleeping with it on. It’s, pardon the pun, dreamy.

The TV won’t bother you. A nuclear flash wouldn’t bother you.
