Tonight is Mama’s 55th birthday dinner. Woohoo! She doesn’t look a day over 45. I’ve got a nice big tiramisu chilling in my fridge at home. I’ve also got 70 candles (two packs) as well. My question is would it be bad idea to stick the candles in the tiramisu BEFORE I left for dinner? Dinner is 20 minutes away, they’re house hunting so I’ll drop the cake off at the restaurant to chill and then house hunt with them till dinner time. I’m wondering if the candles would fall/shift/ruin the cake. I’d rather not stick 55 candles in it right when they serve it and I certainly don’t trust this restaurant (great food, somewhat clueless waitstaff) to stick 'em in at the appropriate time.
Stick them in in advance or wait to do it at the table?
