there is a fabric soft like velvet and stretch, but not as thick or furry. When you brush it with your hand, it changes color to a bit darker. Need answer fast please. Can anyone name fabric?

I’ve never seen velveteen in a stretchy version – velour, yes.
If it’s a lot thinner than velvet and feels like a synthetic fiber, it could be microsuede.
thanks guys. Microsuede sound right. It was real soft, though. It was perfect for African head wraps, and I was at the fabric store trying to find it. Thanks again.

I am thinking panne is it. I think. based on google image results. I am going to ask around at fabric shops about panne.
I haven’t thought about panne velvet in years! I used to sew a lot when I was in my 20’s and made quite a few eye-popping outfits out of panne!
