I’ve heard it called fleece, but most of the things I’ve seen that are made of fleece are matte instead of shiny.

The stuff I’m wondering about is more shimmery, soft and kind of feathery. It’s often made into baby blue or hot pink socks and gloves usually worn by tween and teen girls.

For some reason, around here we tend to call it “polar fleece” in English and just “polar” in French regardless of the shininess/matteness of it.
