Here are the rules to the game: Everybody has to cross the river, but the following rules apply:
Only 2 people on the raft at a time.
The father cannot stay with any of the daughters without the mother being there.
The mother cannot stay with any of the sons without the father being there
The thief (wearing a striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member unless the policeman is with him
Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft, so everytime the raft crosses the river, one of the three has to be crossing.
The raft cannot cross by itself, obviously.
When you go to the website click on the blue circle at the bottom right… When you’re ready to cross the river, just click on the red knob.

then I’m stuck… not even sure my steps lead to the right solution.
Police takes prisoner. Police returns to shore.
Police takes boy 1. Police and prisoner return to shore.
Father takes boy 2. Father returns to shore.
Father takes mother. Mother returns to shore.
Police takes prisoner. Father returns to shore.
Father takes mother. Mother returns to shore.
Mother takes girl 1. Police and prisoner return to shore.
Police takes girl 2. Police returns to shore.
Police takes prisoner.
i didn’t time myself, but it was easy when i realised from following the OP’s steps that both father and mother would not be able to bring the last girl back.
