Hey all,
I’m advertising for a charity gig round my college, and thought a good way to do it would be to email everyone (it’s raising money for a bunch of sick kids to go to Lourdes), something like “all-users@<college’s email thingy>.ac.uk”?
Is there a simple way of doing it without typing every individual email address?
I spose it’s a kind of spamming in a way, so it’s probably illegal 
but still, at least everyone would get to know bout our cause!

Talk to your college’s email administrator. They usually maintain an “all users” list, but you have to have special privileges and/or authorization to send messages to it.
Yeah, they’d know all about your cause, and they’d know who to dump on about the spamming.
Not good marketing.
Your college administration may be willing to help you distribute the message if you approach them directly. But good cause or not, I don’t think we want to help you spam anyone, so I’ll close this thread.
