Need Help With Finding Stooges Dollar Bill Labels

I have some 3 Stooges Christmas cards that I want to send this year and I would like to enclose a “3 Stooges” dollar bill. This is a dollar bill which has a label that one can place over George’s picture, and which may be peeled off if one decides to spend the money.

They sell for 4.95 each on some gag-gift sites, but I wanted to see if I could order a sheet of these somewhere and fix them up myself.

A Google search turned up nada, so I thought I’d ask y’all.

Yeah, I know: I’m a cheap bastard.

Thanks

Q

I’m seeing these offered for sale on ebay, and going for between $3.75 and $12

No sheets for sale, though.

If you’re a real cheap bastard, make up one yourself. You got a scanner, don’t you?

…and I have some e-mail queries out to some of the Stooge novelty sites, so I will wait to hear back from them.

Cheap? You bet! Cheesy? No way! I don’t think the scanner would work. I mean, I could peel off the label I have on my current Stooge dollar and scan it, but how to get the image onto a label? Anyway, wouldn’t it look grainy as hell?

Thanks, though! I appreciate the response.

Q

"how to get the image onto a label? "

I’m not up to date on all the latest software, but I do know that there is lots of Print Artist/Create-A-Card/Printmaster software out there that is pre-set to print Avery and other major brands of label sheets. You just find the “Labels” menu and scroll up and down to find the correct Avery (or whatever) code number.

I’d go down to Staples or Office Max and browse both the label section and the software section.

Anyway, you’d scan it and then use, oh, gee, I dunno, IPhoto or something (I’m terrible at this), to put the resultant .gif or .bmp or .tif file into whatever graphics software you’re using (Print Artist or whatever), and then print it out onto the labels.

You need more help than I can give you here (sorry) but it IS possible. People do it.

And the easy way would be to take it down to Staples or Office Max and pay them to do it for you (although–is it copyrighted? 'Cause that might be a problem for them…)
