Dear Dopers,
I’m having a mental block remembering a scene from a TV show or movie, maybe someone can help me out. Here’s what happens:
A guy comes into a restaurant and sits down. The waitress brings him the menu, he puts a stack of dollar bills on the table and says: “This is how I’m going to tip you: every time you do something well, I’m going to add a dollar. Every time you make a mistake, I’ll remove one.” The scene goes on for a little while, and the character’s date gets very pissed at him.
Somehow I’m thinking of John Lithgow, but might be totally off. Anyone recognize the scene?
