Need new Email client

Hiya all…

I’m looking for a new email client. Eudora 6 has given me nothing but trouble since I upgraded to it from Eudora 5.

I have no desire to use Outlook express as we have 5 email POP accounts that need to be checked regularly, and you can’t check more than one email account at a time with that program.

I need something that’s simple, easy to use and can check all of my emails with having to switch identitys or change settings.

Any suggestions?

Thunderbird, part of the Mozilla family, is free and should do what you want. It’ll deal with all of your email accounts, and newsgroups, with sent draft etc folders for each one. The appearance of it is superfically similar to OE, in that the tree of folders is on the left, emails on the right with an optionaly preview pane. There’s also a fairly good built-in spam filter.

You do need to know all the pop and smtp details for your accounts - it’s less accomodating of the uninitiated than we would like.
