After diligent Googling with no success, I throw myself upon the mercy of the Teeming Millions, secure in the knowledge that at least one of you will know what the Hell I’m talking about and be able to help me.
I possess some heavy-duty vertical rails that are used in industrial shelving systems. My problem is that I am unable to find a source for the horizontal brackets that mate with these rails and actually support the shelves themselves.
Please check HERE for a picture of a portion of one of these rails. Following is a verbal description of its salient design and dimensions:
The rail is basically a steel “U” channel fabricated from 0.10” thick cold rolled steel. The bottom of the “U” (face of the rail) has a width of 2.0”. The sides of the “U” which determine the distance between the supporting wall and the face of the rail are 1.675”.
On the face of the rail are two parallel rows of slots that receive tabs on the (needed) horizontal brackets. Individual slots are 0.935” in length by 0.215” in width. The rows are separated horizontally by 0.96” on-center. In the vertical direction there is 0.575 between the top of one slot and the bottom of the next slot above it. Holes 0.315” in diameter are spaced at intervals of 12.0” along the length of the rail to receive bolts that attach the rails to the wall.
There are no manufacturer markings on the rails that I have been able to discover.
TIA for information leading to the location of this manufacturer and/or a source to obtain brackets for use with this shelving system.
