I’ve been asked to help create some video wallpaper on the theme good news/bad news - it’s to consist of a slideshow alternating between images embodying the two themes.
It’s easy to think of images that embody ‘bad news’, but not so easy on the good news.
So far, I have (as ideas, I’ll find the images later):
-Graduation photos
-Competition/lottery winners
-People winning races
-People accepting medals or awards
-Newspaper with headline announcing peace or cessation of hostilities
-Parent lovingly cradling newborn child
-Rescue (such as firefighter carrying a person to safety)
But I need some more ideas. I don’t need anyone to find images for me (although if you want to give examples to illustrate your idea, feel free).
Anyone got any more ideas on image themes that say ‘good news’?
How about these?
[ul][li]Bride and groom exiting a church[/li][li]Person in a suit accepting a paycheck (either first one or a large raise)[/li][li]People embracing at the airport or a family reunion[/li][li]Someone holding up a sign saying a strike is over[/li][li]A headline showing someone won an election (could also be bad news)[/li][/ul]
Here are a couple more symbolic ones:
[ul][li]Confetti being flung in the air (contrast with rain-sodden streets)[/li][li]Hats in the air[/li][li]Fireworks (contrast with a burned out building)[/li]A flower blooming amid the snow[/ul]
What about that famous picture of a WWII soldier kissing a girl on VE (or VJ?) Day? You could contrast with a photo of a kid waving goodbye to a parent about to be deployed.
A person hugging someone in surgical garb could convey “the surgery was successful.”
