Maybe the answer is as simple as powerpoint, but I thought I would put it out there to you guys.
I need to put together a presentation of pictures over a song. Video is probably beyond my skills. I am running a PC (no snarkiness from the Mac folks!)
I would like to be able to pan the pictures left to right or up and down and maybe zoom in or out for dramatic affect.
I would also like to be able to add text, and I need to make the text be dynamic and interesting (at least in its appearance). For example I may need one word in a sentence to change, or have the phrases themselves pac across the screen as a block.
Windows Moviemaker will do all that. And it’s already on your computer. XP or Vista?
You can run it from your computer, or burn it onto a CD and run it on somebody else’s computer. It’s playable on anything that supports .wmv files.
ETA: If you need to run it on a TV set, you need to look for a “dvd slide show maker” on Google. There’s lots, most of them have free trials. After much trial and error, I’m currently using Roxio, but it drives me crazy, and there’s a fairly steep learning curve. If you just need to put together something to run on a PC, go with Windows Moviemaker.
Working with it in Vista but I assume it’s about the same…If you want 10 seconds of black, you have to add a black slide. I made mine in Paint; just select black color, then click on the bucket for “Fill with color”. Then save it to whatever folder you want and then Import it.
