Need To Find Book!

I am looking for an out-of-print book titled Science Made Stupid by a Mr. Weller. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried eBay, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
Thank you.

have a look here:

mr. weller’s page can be found here:

maybe you could contact him.

One site has exerpts from the book, and the other lists it as out of print. What I need is an actual copy of the book for a friend’s birthday present. Thanks for the search, though. I could download what is on the site, but I have too much respect for the rights of stuggling authors to start that bad habit.

How much time do you have before the birthday? If it’s day after tomorrow, oops.
OTOH I’ve bought out of print books from Amazon. Since they’re dealing with independants who may have out-of-date lists this may take a few weeks, but IN MOST CASES they’ve been able to come through.

Dang, normally I’d recommend a trip to Alibris.com, but I checked and all they have is a copy of Minims (also by Tom Weller - now if you wanted a copy of that, you could have mine cheap!).

I did find CVLTVRE MADE STVPID using Bibliofind. You can sign up to be notified if the title you’re looking for comes in.

Have you considered giving it as a Christmas present instead?

It’s o.k., I’ve still got a couple of months to find it. I haven’t had this much fun since trying to fing a copy of Allan Sherman’s The Rape Of The A.P.E.!

You could try Half.com. They don’t have a current listing for it, but if you put it on your wish list, they’ll let you know when/if a copy becomes available. They will also search online retailers for it if you request.

Thanks, Kat! I’ll do that.

I’ve had very good luck with http://www.bibliofind.com and no luck at all with amazon’s out of print service. Did you try looking on Ebay too?

Try http://www.frugalfinder.com I’ve had good success with them recently.

See also www.powells.com.

They don’t have it now, but have lots of stock and keep turning it over.
