I am a Ph.D. Student in the psychology dept. in Newcastle University (UK) and for my research I desperately need your help.

North American

Other

I’m from the USA. I’ve lived here all my life. I’m very much an American. I’m also white, but not British. Do I pick “North American,” or “Other White”? I don’t really think of “North American” as an ethnic background, unless you’re talking about specific a North American cultural group.

That was my only problem with the survey as well. I picked North American because I don’t think anyone knows what their racial heritage truly is, but I know I was born in Chicago!

Yeah, that’s what I picked, too.

Done. I had the issue mentioned above, and a little difficulty picking an occupation. I’m a white(as far as I know) American mutt, and I picked the white-other option. I’m a programmer. Was the infomatics choice the correct one?

Done. Like the others above, I used North American for generic Northern European mongrel born in the US.
