Do you have any concepts, for which you think we are in need of a new word?
I have 2, both musically related.
Beta song: A mediocre track on a cd that is right after a really good song, and you therefore listen to way too much. (Examples: Beatles - Maggie Mae, Radiohead - Fitter Happier.)
Laurynterludes: When there is annoying talk between the tracks on a cd. (Named for Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill)
One I use often, and bring up whenever these threads start: ambimousetrous - to be able to use a mouse or other pointing device with either hand. It’s a useful skill.
Moved Cafe Society --> MPSIMS.
posterbating - making posts on messages boards just to see your own screen name on the board.
Hence why I’m here.
I don’t know how much longer there’ll be a need for the word, but I use the acronym “fawn” for local free alternative weekly newspapers.
