I’m just happy to see Carl the Cylon is still getting work.
Thanks to TNT reruns that are on - I’ve lost all sense of Castle time - I guess it has been awhile since he was on -
At least he’s not stealing roles from Charo.
Still a better love story than Twilight
Didn’t Worf serve as captain of the Defiant at least once? I seem to recall that at least one time he was the officer in charge on the bridge, but might not have been the captain per se. It could be interesting to see a series with him and the Defiant on a long-term mission.
I’m reasonably sure he was the Captain of the Defiant when Sisko was not on board for all of the later seasons of DS9. There was an episode where he was being court-martialed while in command as I recall.
He was in command of the Defiant at the beginning of Star Trek: First Contact - I’ve always assumed that made him the Captain (by role, if not by rank)
I liked Worf until near the end, with the story arc where he gets married to Dax. I don’t remember why, but I remember being annoyed by that whole plot line and what it did to Worf’s character. I enjoyed seeing Dax, though. I’d like to see how far her spots go.
He has a dedicated fan base. His career is by their demand.
In First Contact (movie), Worf is in command of Defiant. And then he isn’t because of ship being destroyed by Borg. When he is rescued and comes up to the NCC-1701-E bridge, Riker teases him: “Nice little ship.” To which Worf replies “Little?”
Not destroyed - adrift and salvageable.
and it was ‘tough little ship’
[QUOTE=Star Trek: First Contact (1996) - Quotes - IMDb]
Lt. Commander Worf: The Defiant?
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: Adrift but salvageable.
Cmdr. William Riker: Tough little ship.
Lt. Commander Worf: Little?

Nitpick Award
I’m not sure Worf could carry a series. The character is so surly and abrasive. That worked fine on TNG and DS9 because there were other characters to balance him out. Picard and Sisko reminded him that it’s not OK to slaughter an entire room of people that pissed him off.
They’d have to change Worf to make it work. Make him a little more pleasant or something. I’m not sure how they could do that and still keep him Klingon. A Star Fleet Captain is half diplomat and half soldier. Worf would throw the esteemed Ambassador out the nearest airlock.
I just can’t see Worf as the heroic lead. He’s a great supporting character.
Okay, just to ask, has it been officially clarified what happened to the “main” timeline after Nero split off the cinematic timeline?
I’m hoping the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who special answers that.
Another obstacle to a TV show… All the costumes, props and spaceship models were sold at several auctions a few years ago. To relaunch a series from scratch would be incredibly expensive.
It would look different to with Computer CGI. I doubt they’d invest in building starship models again and doing traditional graphics.
This has been the biggest auction. I thought back then that was the final nail in Star Trek Tv’s coffin. There’s nothing left to launch a new show with. From a production stand point those filming models were just priceless.
Then they need to surround him with a staff that will do that for him. Besides the fact that I would think that after all these years he’s learned those things, and wouldn’t be in command of a Federation ship if he hadn’t.
Worf was a little less surly on DS9. But he did like being left alone. There was one episode where he moved his quarters outside DS9 and into a freighter or shuttle? He could play his Klingon operas at full blast and just enjoy himself. I never was sure if that became his permanent quarters or if it was just for that one episode.
Yes, it was onto the Defiant itself. I don’t think they ever said he moved back.
