Netflix Luke Cage Question

I don’t want to post in the extant LC thread because I’m sure there are spoilers.

So to those of you watching - presumably all or most of you also watched Jessica Jones. I never did manage to catch more than a few episodes. How important is it that I go back and watch JJ before starting LC?

I’d say minor importance.

There are references to some things that happened in Jessica Jones but they aren’t tightly woven into things (at least through 9 episodes).

Probably more helpful in understanding what the heck is going on with Rosario Dawson’s character, but still not critical.

There are references to it, but the Luke Cage series is fine standalone.

There are a few characters that appear in both*, but it’s kind of Easter Eggy, not plot shattering.

At least one guy from Dare Devil showed up, but I’m only four episodes in.
