Netscape: The "green brain" in the lower right-hand corner

I’m using a computer in the Kinko’s in Hawthorne, CA, right now. I got onto the Internet via Netscape. In the lower right-hand margin of the screen is a series of icons: a notepad with a clock-dial; a green brain; and one or two icons that look like satellite dishes. The green brain keeps turning red. What is this?

Proably the modem icon. Red, nothing, green data flowing.

At Kinkos if you can make the computer lockup, which often happened to me, they give it to ya free.

Sorry, handy…I don’t have this kind of expertise or your sens of mischief.

Is the satellite dish green? If so then it sounds a lot like Seti@Home.

Right click and see what happens!

Sounds like Dr Watson!

Was it in the corner of the Netscape window? Or was it in the System Tray (the stuff just to the left of the clock, in the Windows 95/98 taskbar) ?

I have over 2000 posts, dammit! Show some respect.

The green Clock “thingie” is Outlook 2000.

The Green Brain indicates the teleneural interface. The differing colors shows that it keeps trying to make a connection to your brainwaves. Next time, open your mind to the computer and jack into cyberspace.
