FXX, a sister channel to FX, plans to celebrate a quarter century of The Simpsons by airing every single episode up to that point consecutively all summer.
Interesting idea, not to mention making me feel goddamn old.

There was talk of creating an actual Simpsons Cable network but they figured out they made more money continuing to sell the reruns to many stations. I think The Simpsons and maybe Star Trek would be the only franchises that could pull it off.
There goes Comedy Central’s plan to show every single South Park episode in order.
I’m still waiting for a single channel devoted to showing nothing but Law & Order in all of its variations. How many episodes have there been in total since it started?
1024 total episodes as of last week. They could probably pad it out with Homicide: Life on the Street, which has had several crossover episodes, and one character, John Munch, in common. In fact, they could run a John Munch network since he’s appeared in so many other TV series.
Can’t.
The shadow government won’t allow it.
That’s what they’d like you to think.
Are you counting the overseas versions of Law & Order? BBC America showed some of the UK version and according to Wikipedia there were also French and Russian versions. Some (perhaps all) of the UK episodes were based on episodes of the original American series, so it might be fun to see both back to back.

You could also throw in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction_(2006_TV_series) since that takes place in the Law and Orderverse, so there’s another 13 episodes.

Possibly an urban legend but supposedly Munch was at least mentioned in all three.
For Law & Order, there was also a TV movie (Exiled) that dealt with Mike Logan’s (Chris Noth) attempt to win favor by solving a big case in Manhattan from his assignment on Staten Island.
(I just saw this a week or so ago. Couldn’t remember how Logan was written out of the main show, but in the movie it’s mentioned that he struck a politician and the transfer to Staten Island was his punishment. I wanted to see that episode; turns out I just missed it last night.)

I can see the ad campaign now…
“We’re showing every South Park episode, in order! Why? The Simpsons Did it!”
