Did this recent television commercial for Snickers starring the one and only Mr. T run outside the U.K., or was it only here? I wasn’t sure it worked all that well as a means of actually persuading people to go out and buy more chocolate bars, but found it pretty amusing, plus it’s nice to see that advertisers haven’t given up on good ol’ B.A. Baracus.

I also must take this occasion to give the terrifically catchy Sheila’s Wheels ad a spin. I never would have expected a commercial about car insurance for women to spawn so many YouTube parodies, but check 'em out - there’s even a techno trance remix.

Are there any other commercials out there at the moment that other Dopers find entertaining?

Mr.T is awesome and can do no wrong. But no, AFAIK it’s only in the UK, and most Americans probably wouldn’t get the soccer/football reference about exploiting small injuries, since over here, it generally seem to be the opposite. Most pro-sports players try to downplay their injury to stay in the game and look “tough.” (Basketball might be an exception, but I don’t it.)

Good stuff there! We didn’t see it over here, but then again, I haven’t been watching much TV. Did you check out the other Mr. T stuff offered on YT? Totally hilarious. I love that guy!
