…said Miles Cowperthwaite’s employer!!!
Why is that more useful than leaving it in your brain? There’s reliable organizations collecting this information. Thinking you’re contributing meaningfully to gathering this data is, without a doubt, fucked up in the head.
Please list the reliable organizations that have produced such a list.
The FBI redefined “mass killing” to what is now called “active shootings.” They no long count the routine massacre of a family by a madman at home. The do not include mass killings by drunken drivers. They are defining the problem away.
But I welcome your link to a list like mine.
Why??
Because nobody else seems to be doing it. I thought I was clear on that.
FigNorton can stop the madness by showing that my work is duplicated by “reliable organizations.”
Why??
Well, before we get caught in the infinite six-year-old’s “Why Loop,” people do things because they think those things are important. Remarkably, and as unjust as it seems, different people have different opinions about what they think is important enough to do.
Why??
…is it important to post it on an obscure messageboard and not in any kind of detail when you don’t even live in the USA? What’s the point? That there are a lot of stupid and violent deaths here? No shit, Sherlock! Posting on a message board is is a totally voluntary activity so you wouldn’t be doing it if it didn’t give you satisfaction in some way.
Aaaaaaaaand now you post something like “because I want to post it” or “because I think it’s important” and we can get stuck in a “why? because!” loop instead.
I am being as clear as I can. People do things because they think that thing is important.
Of course another point in all of this is that in this world, in your town, in your family, on this board, we live with people who disagree with us. An important goal is to learn to live together and cooperate. Little gets done when we all think our priorities, goals, and our values are the only correct ones.
