Yep, that completely lets him off the hook. Beyond that (according to a couple of hilarious posts in this recent Dope thread) 1) a person can be biased against a particular ethnic group without being bigoted, and 2) you’re not a bigot if you just say bigoted stuff, you have to commit an actual bigoted act.

Wow. I couldn’t even force myself to finish reading past the first half dozen or so quotes. I have no idea how you could stomach finding and linking to all those. I’d lay odds that some careful digging would find a link between this poster and Stormfront (though I’m not suggesting that be done!).

I wouldn’t. As was noted, he’s pretty much a straight-line Democrat, except for his views on race. And he never says anything about racial purity or preventing the mixing of races. I’ve poked around SF out of morbid curiosity, and he’s nothing like the loonies you find over there.
It’s always framed as Yay Whitey! Boo blacks. Never Yay Asians! Yay Jews! Boo Whites. You’d think a racist Asian or Jew would eventually make a topic or site somewhere and…oh yeah, that’s right. They’re smarter than white people.

As others have said, he really appears to be a sincere liberal on most issues. It’s just that he can’t see his attitude towards black people as a problem. He feels it’s just a rational reaction to the facts and it’s people who think black people are equal to white people who are deluding themselves. There’s a lot of references to The Bell Curve.
CRIME: Entrenched poverty in Sierra Leone has led to criminality. Visitors and resident U.S. citizens have experienced armed mugging, assault and burglary. Petty crime and pick pocketing of wallets, cell phones, and passports are very common especially on the ferry to and from Lungi International Airport. Law enforcement authorities usually respond to crimes slowly, if at all. Police investigative response is often incomplete and does not provide support to victims. Inefficiency and corruption is a serious problem at all levels within the government of Sierra Leone. Americans traveling to or residing in Sierra Leone should maintain a heightened sense of awareness of their surroundings to help avoid becoming the victims of crime.

CRIME: While the Department of State has rated Liberia high for crime, most crimes that occur within the expat community are crimes of opportunity (which increase during the hours of darkness), with an occasional residential burglary, and armed robbery (use of knife or machete). The Liberian National Police have limited capacity to respond to crime events, thus crime is much higher in Liberian communities where police are not visible. Driving in Monrovia presents a greater danger to residents and visitors, as traffic laws are either nonexistent or unenforceable by police, thus traffic accidents are frequent and often result in injury and loss of life. The police are ill equipped and largely incapable of providing effective protection or investigation. Criminal activity has been reported in both urban and rural areas.

I you go to www.yahoo.com and type in the name of a sub Saharan country + crime + “Dept of State” you will get a website provided by the State Department. Every time I have done that I have found that the black African country has an extremely high crime rate.

Insofar as I am suggesting that the Jews may have had some degree of unusual verbal skills going back to the time of Moses, I am naked before the evolutionary psychologists’ ultimate challenge. Why should one particular tribe at the time of Moses, living in the same environment as other nomadic and agricultural peoples of the Middle East, have already evolved elevated intelligence when the others did not?

The New Deal coalition of Northern social democrats and Southern segregationists was not an incongruous as it seems in retrospect. The Northern social democrats were post capitalist. The Southern segregationists were semi feudal and pre capitalist. Both disliked commercial values and the corporate establishment.
In his book The Emerging Republican Majority Kevin Phillips said that when the black population of a states is less than ten percent it does not effect white voting behavior. When it gets over ten percent whites get nervous. When it approaches fifty percent the control of those blacks is the issue nearly all whites agree on.
