New dog! Help me name him...

**Red Rocket
Chopper
Scraps
Dioji(dee-oh-jee)
Duke
**ummm…Red Rocket
Adobo
- a Philipino/Spanish style of cooking dog meat
Huli-Huli - Hawaiian style, similar to Adobo
Lasher - as in tongue

BTW, what sex is it? I find it wierd that you forgot to say…hmmm…have you even checked yet?

How about Lucky Pierre?

Seriously, I started to think about my dog’s name before I even put down a deposit. I pretty much have the next dog’s name picked out already, too.

I think the long vowel sounds carry better if you have to call the dog. How about Hughie for a boy?

For clarity…
He is a boy.

New dog! Help me name him

I figured it was a boy from the title.

This might take too much back story, but…
One of the myths of Poodle origins has them coming from Belgium. Or Gemany. Just not France. Actually the come from the now-defunct State of Bacaroon. (Just kidding, but the origin of the Poodle is, at best, fuzzy.) Anyway, let’s say the come from Belgium… then Hercule Poirot or some variation thereof.

or Sherpa because I just think that would be funny.

Jack?
-Rue.

Rules of thumb …

  • Two syllables, emphasis on the first.
  • The call name shouldn’t be confused with a command.
  • Dogs really do know when they’re named something stupid (“Shithead”, “Gatorbait”, etc…

Well… someone had to say it:

Chicken of Bristol?

[sub]Cob, for short I guess.[/sub]

Boys (or unisex) names from our last two litters…

West
Quick
Jack
Click
Aero
Argo
Loki
Tango
Niko
Nitro

Best of luck in the pup naming… and all the joys that go with puppyhood…

Elly

Oh Gaaawd.

I think that’s why I subliminally picked all male names. Funny how you can read the same line several times over and it doesn’t stick.

Along the black & white theme…

Oreo
Skunk
Ring-Ding
Milton Burl
Integration

Maybe I should think a little more before I post…

Does puppy have a name yet? I’ve been dying to know what you’re going to call him

Thanks Cazzle…
Part of my family is a three year old boy and a six year old girl. There were some really good suggestions from people, much appreciated.
We had to pick a name that the kids could pronounce.
The final choice was…

Alex.

Thanks!
JSA

That’s a great name!!
May Alex have a long, healthy and happy life, and bring joy to his family

Congrats on getting your puppy.

I’ve always wanted a rotweiler (is that how you spell it?)
I want to name it bastard, so when ever he does something bad I can say “Stop it Bastard”
