New Dog - Name suggestions?

Years ago I found a home for a teeny-tiny dog that had been neglected. I told the people who adopted him that I’d been calling him Speck.

They thought the name fit him well and kept it. At a party later someone asked where his name came from and they pointed out that I’d named him. The guy then asked me what the name meant and I explained I’d named him after Richard Speck, the dude who killed nurses. You could hear a pin drop.

Looks like a Chester to me. That or Abercrombie.

  That’s priceless! I owe you a beer.

Dioji.

It’s pronounced dee-OWE-jee. Like how you spell dog - D O G.

Left in a shopping cart? It’s a regional thing, but you could call him Buggy.

(For some unfathomable reason, I’m thinking Sampson.)

Congratulations!
How about Sargent ( Sarge) , Sebastian (Bash)
Cecil!

This seals it, IMHO. That pupper is, indeed, Rene de Cart.

That’s solid.

I love these.

Except Speck. shudders

René de Cart is brilliant, but I think it might be too heavy a name for our little guy. Mouse fits well, personality-wise. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

I think Rocky does suit him. You probably don’t want a joke name like Killer. Mouse might be a little too small for him, I can see in his eyes that he’s big on the inside.

He has survived a lot I think. There are signs that he was outside a lot (or always), which is not a great thing here. It’s very hot and we’ve got a lot of predators, but he survived and someone cared enough to get him help.

What a cute little guy. He almost looks part fennec fox.

Yes, he looks like he thinks therefore he is.

Tuffy, because he is a little toughie

I love the name Buggy for this little guy. I’m also thinking Bear, or Finn for the poster who thinks he looks like a fennec fox.
