New Futurama tonight.

I don’t think I’ve seen anything about it here, but the new season starts tonight.

It’s hard to believe it’s already 3011 in the future.

I’ve said it before… Lela looks hot!

The storyline for the first episode seemed a little contrived. I don’t think Futurama does gender stories/differences very well. Or, they already covered it in the fourth movie and didn’t feel “new” at all. The second episode was great. I’m not usually a fan of Bender stories, but it all came together very well. I wonder where all those atomic Benders went…

“It’s a good thing that most of our fans are perverts” - nice! I wonder if they’re actually releasing a calendar - not that I’d want one or anything.

Who was the blonde woman dressed up like a doctor? Has she been in the show before?

The second episode was better. Because it was about Bender! Bender is great!

She was the Youthasizer from “Teenage Mutant Leela Hurdles,” where everyone de-ages.

A few of the people on the Planet Express plane were one-off characters. In addition to here, there was the hover-car salesman, Victor (no dog food for Victor, tonight,) and the goth girl from “Three Hundred Big Boys” who is really fat as the queen of sea cows, but uses a naval ring that reduces her weight. Then there were also staple side-characters like Haddie (ka-jigger,) Sal (whoas!,) and Petunia (who is well traveled…and I don’t mean she travels a lot.)

I enjoyed the second one a lot more than the first, cause Bender is great, B-E-N-D-E-R! Beeeeeender! You know it, baby!

This was the Youthesizer. I can’t find a picture, but I’m pretty sure the doctor was in Bender’s Big Score when Hermie’s head was reattached. Dr. Hotandsexy or something.

Edit: Found it. Dr. Cahill Fry calls her Dr. Goodensexy.

Bender as Gray Goo!

the 1st show’s jokes might not have been up to par but the sight gags were beyond funny

I liked the gray goo one a lot better too.

First one fell really flat. There is so much potential humor in switching genders and it seemed like the show didn’t take advantage of any of it.

I liked the Bender swarm. It was just about timed right with story for a half hour. The first one felt like they had too many ideas and didn’t really get inot having fun with any of them.

Although I did like Hermes. “I found a loophole in this mortgage. If we actually pay it, they can’t foreclose”

The first episode took so long to get TO the gender swap that there wasn’t time left to do anything funny once it happened. The swap should have happened in the first few minutes and given the characters a chance to actually react to it.

Incidentally, did anyone else notice the title of the book Prof. Farnsworth shredded to get two sweaters? It was Dr. Zoidbergs Wedding Album. Did Dr. Zoidberg get married in some episode?

Not really wowed by either episode, I often find Bender irritating. Second ep better than the first though. Still glad to have it back

I cracked up and had to pause my DVR when the rock-alien’s first test to determine the supremacy of the genders was “Who can drink the most sulfur?”

It’s not online? Lamesauce. Who the hell watches cable anymore?!

I found both episodes to be very weak, but it’ll take a lot more than that to make me stop watching.

Was the formula that Prof. Farnsworth showed when explaining the Benders a real one? I assume it is given the credentials of the show, but I am curious.

Funniest line has to be the jumbled mess of that came out of drunk Fry’s mouth where he used the word “fitshased”.

I thoroughly enjoyed both these episodes, even though I suspect that my husband is now going to address me as “decumbent urinator.”

How do you type in sigma notation?
M = ∑ n=0 to ∞ [ 2[sup]n[/sup] (M[sub]0[/sub] / 2[sup]n/sup ]

Looks like the professor was right…The Mass consumed by each generation of Benders gets bigger, not smaller, so rather then duplicate into obscurity, they eventually will convert all matter into Benders.
