Any AZ dopers voting for Bush?
Alas, I’m in the same boat you are: There’s no way my vote is going to change who gets the NYS electoral college votes. I’m trying to find a third party I could vote for, so far no luck. So, I’m not really going to cancel anyone. Just standing off in left field humming the Doors, ‘People are Strange’.
duffer, NYS has some of the most draconian election laws in the country, as I understand it. In 2000, for example, there was a lot of focus on the fact that McCain didn’t make it onto the Republican Ballot for the primaries, because of technicalities with the signatures. I don’t think TeaElle is confused about who’s running, just confused about who NY admits is running.
Not that this is the only thing broke in NYS government.

My husband and I are planning on cancelling my Grandparents’ votes.

Well, I guess I’m going to cancel your vote duffer . I believe we both vote in the same state. Maybe that will lower the Bush win to under 65%.

My brother isn’t a Doper, but my vote every election goes to cancel his, in my mother’s eyes. (She still doesn’t understand how she possibly raised a Republican–in election years, she’s often heard referring to him as Alex P. Keaton.)
Of course, I live in NJ and he lives in MD, so it doesn’t really count, but it makes Mom feel better.
I am cancelling all your votes! No matter who wins, I am leading a coup. We shall tear down the system and build a new Utopia, a City on the Hill, a Workers’ Paradise, a…a…um, well, you get the idea.
Nobody’s. Mine is the vote that’s going to give Illinois to Kerry. Don’t ask me how I know, I just do.

I’ll be canceling gobear’s vote. He lives in VA, though, and I live in MD.
I appreciate the effort, but Sam isn’t allowed to vote in this election. Unless he’s going to be in Chicago next week.
