I know there haven’t been many, if any threads about this show. I know a lot of people thought it was crap stuff at the beginning, but I think it’s started to find a voice somewhere between the wedding episode and the thanksgiving episode.

I laughed so hard I snorted during the voices scene and frankly, I was impressed. I’ve always been pretty cool on Justin Long as an actor because he’s just so smarmy all the time but I really liked his Jimmy Stewart. Now that’s what every bedroom needs.

The Schmidt plotline was really contrived but then so is Schmidt.

I watched the premiere, but haven’t watched since. (I find ZD annoying as hell but strangely fascinating.) Left it the TV on after Glee last night because I was in the middle of a complicated knitting thing and there was nothing else on I wanted to watch.

Got to the point when she was wrassling with the fetish lingerie trying to put it on and had to turn off the TV.

I usually catch it on Hulu. The last episode I saw was the Thanksgiving one. Even though I find Zooey’s I’m-so-dorky-that-it’s-adorable shtick very irritating, I find the show hilarious.

My judgement is suspect, however, since I love will they-won’t they sitcom arcs. I’m hoping Zoo and depressed roommate hook up. . . and then he chokes the shit out of her as a one year anniversary gift. Because that’s what people as annoying as her really want, isn’t it?

My wife gets me to watch about every other week and then laments that this week’s episode kinda sucks but LAST week’s episode was great.

I’ve decided that Ms. D is the least amusing thing on the show. The times I do laugh, it’s because of the roommates and her scenes are just filler.

I haven’t seen this week’s episode yet, but I like the show. I like the guys.

Thought the show has been really funny since the Pilot. This week no exception.

Is Matthew McConaughey involved in the production of this show? Because the lengths to which they go to ensure that at least one of the male characters takes off his shirt each episode is about the funniest thing on this turkey.

I laughed my ass off - when she choked Justin, I just about lost it.

Her dorky schtick is irritating to me, too, but the three male roommates more than make up for it, in my opinion.

And the male characters can take off their shirts all they want, as far as I’m concerned. :slight_smile:

That’s pretty much my view. I watch the show for Zoey’s short dresses and the back and forth between the three guys.

Did I miss something though, or did the Schmidt storyline go nowhere? He was the big hit at the party… and that was it.

No, I think it was a different woman (a blonde) doing the walk of shame the next morning.

Well, that’s dumb. It should have been the redhead unless they’re setting up for mini-plots with Schmidt and the redhead foiling each other’s office antics. Which would not make me happy.

I like the show, but I think it works best if you think of Jess as being an escaped mental patient. Or perhaps raised by escaped mental patients and had no contact with the rest of society until they died/she was rescued/something.
