Is it really okay to do searches on people and copy comments from other message boards? I realize EP isn’t an actual message board but it might as well be. It just seems so catty to play this on a new poster even if he doesn’t come off as the most socially adept creature. No wonder he never came back.

it’s not possible to lay it on too thick with someone who introduces himself by bragging about his IQ. such people need to be sqooshed.

I think the opening post came off as kind of bragish to a lot of people and it’s the nature of this board to pick up on any flaw. But the piling on went over the top here.
If you still decide to post here I don’t think you will get any more scrutiny then anyone else.

How does everyone around here know what their IQ is (I always read those threads for some reason). I have no clue what mine is, and don’t know that I’ve ever been tested. Are IQ tests regularly administered for some reason?

I think a lot of kids who are in consideration for ‘‘gifted and talented’’ programs have IQ tests. On the reverse side, kids with issues in school may also be subject to an IQ test. I’m betting the vast majority of people who have had IQ tests had them as children.
