Did she fall or jump? I had a cat that would every now and then decided she could jump six feet. I saw her doing this she’d debate whether to climb or jump. As for the manner get a squirt gun.
It really is funny before a kitten figures out how to use her claws. My cat used to somehow put her right paw over the back of her head and put it next to the left side of her face and catch her claws on the carpet and get stuck.
We assume she fell, since she had been climbing the rails to the top of the handguard rail.
And, we do use the “mysterious water that lands on the little cat when she’s doing something bad” trick. :eek: I’d rather she not just behave when I’m holding the squirt bottle but rather behave all the time.
Well you tell her firmly “NO,” when you squirt it. At least my cat learned quickly. I am also a great fan of baby blankets. Go to a garage sale or thrift store and get a bunch of them. Those small felt or felt like baby blankets. And you can put them on the back of your couch or wherever. Kittens love these and they learn quickly to sleep on them.
So you simply put them down, when they get full of hair, you replace it with a fresh one, throw the hairy one in the wash and it’ll solve the hair. Though your kitty doesn’t look all that fuzzy.
One of our cats thought that he was entitled to be held whenever he felt like taking a nap. This was endearing at first, and then annoying, as he would want one or the other of us to hold him even if we had other things to do, and if we put him down in a comfy spot he’d follow us around, crying.
Let him sleep with you when you’re sleeping.
As for falling off balconies, well, kittens have absolutely no sense at all, and think that they’re invulnerable, until they discover that they aren’t. Then they cry for a human to Fix It NOW!
