New M&M's!

Surprised you haven’t seen 'em in Houston yet. They’ve been in Austin for several weeks and they are DELICIOUS! I’ve never been a big M&M guy but these are magnificent. For Texans, I’ve only seen them in the local HEB, nowhere else.

I suppose I would be willing to organize a mass mailing of these delights. I’ve only seen them in large bags. Send me an email if you are interested. I’m also thinking of making a purchase of pure caine sugar Dr. Pepper that is only available in Texas.

I’m still waiting to get my hands on some of those thoroughly disgusting-sounding Musk Lifesavers, which are apparently only available in Australia.

Don’t know about the Breyer’s, but Friendly’s makes a Dulce de Leche ice cream that is just about the best flavor I’ve ever had.

Caramel is the sweet breast milk of the gods.

Whaddya mean I can’t go out coz I am not dressed… these are CARAMEL for God’s Sake! GIMME GIMMIE GIMME!

Actually Robin, they are here. Check out your local Stop N’ Go/Diamond Shamrock for them. Also Texaco. They are wonderful.

IIRC, the peanut butter used is the same as that of Reese’s Pieces. So, they’re like little chocolate-and-candy coated Reese’s Pieces.

Over here in Backwards Ireland, all we have are Peanut and Chocolate M&M’s. No Peanut butter, no Almond, and sure as hell no Caramel.

Pray for Mojo.

They weren’t before?

That explains a lot.

Forget Bryer’s and Friendly’s, the Häagen-Dazs Dulce de Leche is THE BOMB! It was also the first brand to come out with it.

They have these dulce de leche M&Ms in Houston, you say…

I have friends in Houston. My friends like Kinder Surprise. I have Kinder Surprise here. I feel a cunning candy swapping plan coming on.

Thanks, Esprix for spreading the good news of new M&Ms.

Considering that M&Ms are a Mars product and Reese’s are Hershey, I’m doubtful. I also notice a big difference in taste - the peanut butter M&Ms taste way too salty to me.

Now when are we going to get our dulche de leche?

BTW, here’s an easy recipe for it. Essentially, you boil a (sealed) can of condensed milk (not evaporated milk, that’s a completely different animal) for several hours.

If you know any diabetics you want to kill…

Oh, my god - I am so getting off on these M&M’s…

Excuse me while I slip into a sugar coma…

Esprix: I AM SO JEALOUS! MY SCALES ARE TURNING GREEN! pout I want some caramel as well… but hell UTAH! WE GET EVERYTHING 10 YEAR AFTER EVERYONE ELSE! double pout

Just the thought of dulce de leche M&Ms is making me throb turgidly.

I’ll need to change my shorts if I ever actually get to eat any.

I live in Houston and shop regularly at a Hispanic market. I couldn’t find the dulce de leche M&Ms anywhere.

Robin

Uh, well, they’re not that good.

Man, you really need to get out more…

Esprix

fear not. m&m’s are health food. each yummy little bag of plain m&m’s contain 4% calcium. with caramel…hhhhm perhaps 5-6%. will someone help me out with a bit of math, how many bags do i need to get for 100% of my calcium needs?

whammo, you got that right!

According to a news blurb in the Providence Journal the other day, green M&Ms are going to be the first with more than just the traditional logo printed on them. They’re going to have a face.

I will send Bernard (better than Godiva) Callebaut chocolate to the first person that sends me a bag of these new wonderful caramel M&Ms.
