Welcome, Deadpool - re: which are the funnest places, it’s really a matter of personal taste. Shirley’s run-down above was pretty good, though.
Me, I’m not big on thinkin’ or anger, so I tend to gravitate toward IMHO, MPSIMS and the sillier threads in CS. But that’s just me.
It is a big place, and it may take you awhile to find your way around. But never fear, as long as you “don’t be a jerk,” everything should be peachy. And your first post was thoroughly un-jerkish, so you’re off to a decent start.

Beyond that, I can only say, don’t be a jerk, get used to the breathtakingly imaginative invective in the Pit, and when you mention a poster’s name, bold it.

I’m new too (joined Fri 6/6). I’m just surfing the various boards/threads which interest me and replying to posts which I feel like replying to. I figure if people will respond to me (one has so far) then they will. If not, not, but I still get to read others’ opinions and express my own, so it’s fun. The SD has very cool MB’s.
Now if only my web browsers (or this site?) would only behave. That’s the only part that’s not so much fun. I log in and read, then when I try to reply, the system says I’m not logged in. I log in again, and the system says there’s no thread. I have to jump through tons of hoops to get my posts online, including copying them in case they’re “lost” in the process. Yes, I’ve sent an email to the webmaster about this but haven’t heard anything back. I think my next stop is going to have to be to the “technical questions” one. Yes, indeed. See you all later.
Don’t listen to Loneraven. I’m not everywhere. You’ll never (well, almost never) see me in GD or Cafe Society. And I only occassionally forage into IMHO. And I’m rarely in Comments on Staff Reports (though that may likely change pretty soon). And Cecil’s columns don’t need my comments.
