But we just call him “Sally”.

As in “Sally forth, good man, and do the right thing”? Yeah. I’m going with that.

Congrats! Seems like a pretty cushy gig – your main job is marking Feud threads “closed” when so instructed. Or are the RPGers really rowdy in the threads I don’t read?

I love puzzles. All kinds of puzzles, but especially mind games and math games (I used to teach computer science and a bit of game theory).

So, what are the three words ending in “-gry”?

Congrats to you.

I’ve been into computer games since I first played Moon Landing on a PDP-8 in 1975. I went through the original Colossal Cave Adventure, Zork, and so forth on minicomputers and mainframes. When I got my Apple ][, I played the ported arcade games (actually rolled over the score on Galaga), and really got into it on my Atari 800 (I still have both computers).

OMG, he’s one of us!

Now, if only I could find the rest of “us.” We’d be a hell of a team at something!!

Well we’re likely to storm a few castles now and then, but it is us Baseball & Football fans that will cause him the most grief.

Oh wait, I forgot about that small pack of Football* Hooligans.

  • Soccer for us Americans.

Hungry, angry, and modgry. In case you’re not familiar with that last word, modgry is defined as “the state of being in need of a moderator.” It can be used to describe certain users or certain threads.

You’re a mod who is smart, openminded and has a sense of humor (bookmark this!) – you’ll go far.

Do you have to earn jackboots or do they come with the appointment? I’ve always been curious, but a little afraid to ask. You seem sooooo nice though.

It can also mean the tasks of a moderator, such as, reading and moving posts, issuing warnings, wearing jackboots, etc.

Judging from your responses to this post, I think you will fit right in with the other moderators. (This is not necessarily a good thing).
Congrats!!
