Just saw, on basic cable, a short commercial: “Meet Jim!” (or some other name) the upbeat announcer proclaims, to some bouncy whistling music, and we see happy Jim (or some other name) using a tube of Polident on his upper plate. Looks/Sounds like an intentional parody of those infamous boner pill ads that used to run late at night over a decade ago (forget both the name of the happy boner pill customer and that of the pill itself, and it appears my Google-fu has socially distanced itself from me).
You’re thinking of “Bob”, shilling for Enzyte. Yes those ads were creepy. I haven’t seen the Polident ad.
