My sister got me By the Way for Chsitmas and it KICKS ASS! I love the Chili Peppers. Anybody else have this CD? What do you think? I’m listening to it right now and I’m likin’ it a lot.

How do you think this album rates with their previous ones.
Californication did really well, although my favourite is Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic.
Do you think that the high standards that they’ve set for themselves help or hinder future projects?

I love the Chilli Peppers tons. My favorite record is still the Uplift Mofo Party Plan. The most underrated record is One Hot Minute.
Californication is awesome, and I like By The Way, too. There are some really good songs on there. My only objection is that it seems that they are becoming less experimental in their stuff.
It is a good CD. Unfortunatly, RHCP sold out and no longer plays funk music. It’s a pity.
Love it…it’s one of the few CD’s I’ve gotten lately that I like every track on. I think it’s probably the RHCP best CD’s so far, (the video for BTW’s pretty good too), not to downplay some of the tracks from One Hot Minute and Californication. I think the RHCP are going to be around for a while, and that they won’t degenerate into a state of horrific sucking for a long, long time. Here’s hoping.
Ever since mothers milk i just can’t get into them… and lately the last few albums have been one long album… I mean half the singles sound like the exact same song as the previous single.
And no I am NOT getting old 
They just kinda blow now.
i’ve listened to them on and off since the eighties…i can’t see how they sold out though, i mean, they are playing what the want and so what if it isn’t as funky…that’s such a cop out to say something like that…did they ever say they would never play other forms of music? and who in the hell wants a band to never ever progress…sheesh…

Gotta love Funky Monks though. It’s a pretty funky tune.
