A new and expanded trailer for Serenity is up on the Apple site, and… oh wow this movie is going to be amazing.

That’s the first trailer I’ve seen that’s actually made me want to see the movie.

What kinda tagline is that?
Pretty traler though - lots of space, not so much old west.
I’ve just started watching Firefly on Sci-Fi. Where does the Serenity movie happen in the timeline? After the series?

The future is worth fighting for. Sounds like the most pure expression of the old west I can think of. Frankly, it’s different, it expressed the heart of SF, and I like it.

Where was Kaylee in that trailer? Of course, I’m see this one on opening day no matter what they trailers look like.
I’ll be going opening day, but… I gotta say it… This is the first trailer I’ve seen for the film that I’m just sort-of ‘eh’ about. Makes it just look like a regular shoot-em-up. Only funny line is the bit about ‘do you want to run this ship?’
Yes, the movie takes place after the series.

I only saw her once, briefly: right after Mal says “No more running,” we get a brief outdoor shot, where we’re seeing Mal from behind and below as he faces (L-R) Wash, Kaylee, Jayne, Zoe, Inara, and Simon.
Anyone see Book anywhere?
She is seen twice in group shots
Once in the passanger seat of a hovercraft, with Zoe driving with Mal and Jane shooting at a craft behind them.
She is standing between Mal and Inara aiming a gun, she is mostly blocked frow view by Inara holding what loks to be a futuristic crossbow/rifle.
She is in a brief flash next to Zoe then Simon, right as Wash says “oh god oh god we are all going to die?”
The Flash “Six Rebels on the run” when the next shot shows 7 members of the crew. Simon, River, Mal, Wash, Zoe, Jane, Inara and Kaylee. I am guessing they do not include Inara in the count.
A brief clip of Jane(with Vera) Mal and Zoe with rifles coming out of Serenity, in the background is also someone carrying something wearing black billowing pants and a top showing off the midriff could be Inara, doubt it is River, river is not as well… developed. Doubt it is Kaylee as well.
Is Simon in the blue shirt getting his butt kicked by River? (fight scene merged into River whipping butt in a Bar) Could be, he is wearing a similar blue shirt later in the trailer (second group shot with Kaylee)

Well, they said that this movie was Mal and River-centric. Maybe the next one can be all about the forbidden love and oil wrestling between Inara and Kaylee. 
I hate to point this out, but the trailer suggests that the plot is pretty much the same as “Elektra.”
Ummm… not really…
Yeah, really. You’ve got a gang of outcasts instead of one outcast, so that’s different, but then they’re asked to protect a teenaged girl who just happens to be some sort of super-duper-kung fu-superwarrior from a rampaging horde of bad guys, despite misgivings as to whether it’s in their self interest, and that’s pretty much dead on.
Hell, that’s the plot to The Magnificent Seven! Minus the *sort of super-duper-kung fu-superwarrior * of course.
