No kidding. With some of the shows that Hulu and Netflix are willing to pick up; It would be nice if they could pick this one up. I’d sure as hell watch it over the Mindy Kaling Project that got picked up by one of them, I think Hulu.
You may have called it! Forever - "ABC's Worst Decision Could Be a Big Win For Netflix, Hulu, or TNT"
Well, poo…
I’ve been watching Amazon to see if/when they offer this series on DVD. Well, they do - but not on disk, only on a download, and the entire season is $38.99. WTF? How many people are going to buy this? That seems a very high price for a single-season show. Or have I simply not been keeping up with prices lately?
For those it may interest: Alana de la Garza (‘Jo’) will have a recurring role on the next season of Scorpion.
So I guess no chance it will be picked up by an independent. IMO she was the best thing about the show.
Yeah, for some reason it’s like that. The DVDs are half what it cost to stream/download a show. ![]()
The DVDs aren’t even out yet. You are paying to get it earlier (generally the day after the air date) and it is also higher quality than the DVDs.
If they offer it on BlueRay HD I’ll certainly consider purchasing it in that form. Otherwise, I’m OK with a DVD. Especially for half the price of a streaming video.
So this thread isn’t about The New Show?
Wow. Never heard of it, and I don’t see how I missed it at the time. Nor do I see how it was the lowest-rated show with stars and regulars like that.
Bumping this old thread because the show is available on CW Seed, and intrigued me enough to add it to my (presently copious) binging list. While it borrows a lot from prior and contemporary shows, I really, really enjoyed it and wish there was at least one more season. Gruffudd and Vargas are both very watchable, Judd Hirsch is a little one-note but a good watch, and the supporting cast was all capable and interesting.
I haven’t read through this thread yet, but bump if anyone starts re/watching it and cares to chat about the interesting points (again).
I do believe I’ve added “It’s a *lonng *story” in Gruffudd’s marvelous accent to my permanent list of -isms.
And it made a perfect capstone line to the shortened series run.
CW is apparently starting up the show again on their network. I remember seeing a teaser for it a while back during an ep of Supernatural. I’m still kicking myself for not bingeing Constantine when they had it.
