I do wonder how Adam got the gun from Abe’s safe, though. Doesn’t affect my first statement, just the episode in general.
I saw a clip on the abc.com site that was clearly shot as part of the episode, clearly was after Abe pulled Henry out of the river post-resurrection, yet was not part of this episode.

Was this originally intended to be a two-parter, one part this season one part the next? Was extra stuff filmed to be included on a DVD? (Of course there will be a DVD, studios try to suck every cent out of a show these days) Cut for time? What?
I just wish the last words spoken on the show were, “Tell her, Father.”
you’ve got to wonder what the hostpital will begin to think with Adam - he’ll never die or age - at some point, someone is going to take notice of that.
I’ve been critical of the writing all season, but I have to say that the last ten minutes or so, with Abigail and Jo, were very well done. Nice to see it end on a high note.
If I were Henry, I’d fake some documents making me a relative of his, and arrange to have him moved to my home. And then take very good care of him, so he doesn’t die.
The nice way they handled Adam is that it’s as close to just as you can get for an immortal like him… and leaves open the way for him to come back and come back with a vengeance.
I agree the way Adam gets the gun was left out, but then Abe was guarding it so closely (except for the bathroom breaks, lunch with the ex, managing the store, etc) that I’m not surprised he was able to acquire it.
There’s an interesting twist on the final deaths - Adam’s theory about the “weapon that killed you the first time could be the one to kill you the last time” could still be true. Adam wasn’t stabbed with the dagger, so we don’t know about that. But Henry may have been shot with the same gun, but not with the same bullet. Which is probably gone with the passage of time in the Atlantic. Adam may have a way out, but Henry may truly be ‘Forever’.

Indeed. Even if poo is expected, it is still poo when it arrives. I still say it was a great idea/concept ruined by unimaginative writing.
I’m gonna miss the show. I understand why it was canceled, but I’m going to miss it nonetheless
I try not to watch shows in the first season and this is why. Unfortunately I got sucked in. Poo.

Well, if someone sees this run come out on DVD please post here so those of the rest of us who might be interested will know about it.
I don’t understand that sentiment at all. So what that the show doesn’t last forever, they showed 20-something reasonably good, enjoyable hours of television. It ended well. That’s more than enough.
(Also, not watching something makes it more likely that it will get canceled. The people who would have liked it, but didn’t watch because they were waiting to see if it would last are the reason that it didn’t last.)
Obviously SOMEWHERE there’s an interest in this sort of story. First with New Amsterdam, and now with Forever. Both of these were really awesome shows! I’m so disappointed that it has been cancelled.
Gee let’s put on another reality show that’s cheap to make.
And if enough people have this sentiment, there is never a second season to watch.

Too bad it isn’t being picked up by a different network (or at least not that I’ve heard)
