New Tata "Nano" Car Burns!

Looks like we won’t be seeing this car anytime soon:

Musta been a shock for the proud new owner…what do the Indians say for “well, back to the drawing board”?

Linky no worky.

Sigh. Ohhhhh, Ralph. Don’t ever change.

I like the word Ta ta.

I like the word burns.

I am undecided on whether combining the two is a good thing or a bad thing.

I KNOW I don’t want the word nano thrown in the mix.

For anyone interested, here’s link that works.

Not to be confused with Tatra.

Tata Motors is the company’s name and Nano is the best car model name they can come up with?

Hey, it’s just like the Pinto. We haven’t heard much from Ford since that disaster.

I’m sorry but this -

made me burst out laughing. That’s a joke without a punchline if I ever saw one. “No, no, our cars are fine! Completely safe! They hardly ever catch fire!”

Ah, yes, giving true credence to the phrase, they see me rolling, they hating.
I do have to admit, the Nano Tatas are nice, but the aesthetic value is simply not there. Maybe bigger.

They made a movie about the Pinto. Chariots of Fire.

Tata is a very large company. It seems like they’re into everything. They provided programming and data processing support for a former employer – and half of us were laid off. ‘Ta-ta’, indeed!

I guess they’ll have to take down the sign at the dealer that says: “30,000 cars sold without bursting into flames”.

I hope the extended warranty covered driving it off the lot. The good news is that they hired an ex-GM head to get their company back on track to financial success.

"Last fall, three customers in India complained that their Nanos started smoking. "

Next thing you know they’ll be doing drugs. Buncha damn hoodlums if you ask me.
