New things you notice in Seinfeld

I like the fasions and such. Like Elaine mocking “straight hair,” and the time she went nuts and straightened it.

Or George wishing baldness would become a trend.

No, she wasn’t. I just watched this episode of NCIS today. Seinfeld’s mother was played by Liz Sheridan, born in 1929.
The creepy funeral director was played by Lee Garlington, born in 1953. Quite an age difference.

I saw an American Express commercial which had a reproduction of Jerry’s apartment. It shows someone, presumably Jerry, taking the bicycle out of the apartment to ride. You don’t see the person clearly, so apparently it wasn’t actually Seinfeld. All you can see is the bicycle disappearing out the door as if it is being pushed by someone. I wish I could find it somewhere online.

I am always amused when I see “Ian” (or should I say “EEN”) in the background of an episode. For some reason he just suddenly started standing out and I am surprised how much he shows up.

I also get a kick out of how many little pasta people Kramer has made. I often wonder who the pasta people are supposed to be that are on that shelf behind his couch. (Most easily seen in the episode where his phone number is 555-FILK and is trying to be Movie phone guy.)

Since watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, I notice Larry David in more bit parts on Seinfeld. Like recently I saw an episode where he was playing a newspaper vendor.

In fact here’s a list of his appearances: http://www.seinology.com/lists/list-larrydavid.shtml

Jennifer Coolidge from “A Mighty Wind” and “Legally Blonde” is Jody the masseuse who won’t give Jerry a massage. I just noticed this tonight, even though I’ve seen this episode a few times and couldn’t help but think of this thread.

I just noticed in that same episode that George’s girlfriend is played by Lisa Edelstein, aka “Dr. Cuddy” on House.

THANK YOU! I saw this episode tonight and I KNEW she was someone I should know!

Ha! My husband didn’t believe me! I’ll have to show him this thread. I also remember her from “Felicity”.

This could be very, very cool, or very, very bad: Dotdash Meredith - America's Largest Digital & Print Publisher

Wow! :d

She’s also in an earlier episode where George accuses her of faking orgasms because of how she moaned and groaned over some risotto they had for dinner. I love her!

Curb has never given me reason to believe that anything they do won’t be completely awesome.

Sounds like the reunion show will only exist within the plot of CYE. You’ll see the real-life actors playing themselves interacting with Larry David, and you’ll see the writing and creation process of the fictional reunion show, and parts of the reunion show with the actors playing the Seinfeld characters, using the original Seinfeld show sets.

Bizzaro Jerry went on to Carnivale and was Cotton Hill among other things.

Bizzaro Kramer went to MadTV.

And of course, Puddy went on to become the Tick.

Here’s a youtube compilation.

In one episode (the “good naked/bad naked” episode), when his girlfriend took the bike down to do some work on it, Jerry admitted that the bike was really just for show, and that he doesn’t actually ride it.

OK, you got me. ALF probably never hit its prime, but I did see it in its first network run. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tim DeKay AKA Bizarro Jerry was “Jonesy” on Carnivale. Cotton Hill (from King of the Hill) was played by Toby Huss, who was also on Carnivale, but was the character who ran the Cootchie show.

Whoops, you’re right. tonight I’m going to destroy whichever brain cell screwed that up with a beer.
