I’ve been a here over a decade and was happy to pay for the service when the shift came, but, much as I enjoy it, I’ll be hard pressed to put up any more money for such utter indifference to the boards ever worsening performance problems. No matter how meagre the amount, to be honest.
This thread is a perfect example of why your customers cannot even be bothered to report their issues any more. Why bother?
I think you must be getting my share of the zaps, Siam Sam. Touch wood, it’s only happened to me a couple of times recently. (There, now I’ve probably gone and jinxed myself.)
I’ve used other computers but they’re all in the same house so it doesn’t rule out my ISP being the problem. I’m think of testing this out on my iPad when it’s not connected to my home wifi to see if it happens then.
I think the only theory that fits all the available evidence is the fault is on the Board’s end. It’s bizarre they can’t re-create it in the lab or whatever evil lair they use.
I applaud the Board for not zapping me after I returned from a few days outside of Bangkok.
But today I saw a zombie thread had been revived, and it was flagged that I had posted in it. Being a lengthy thread, I searched for my name in the Search Thread function to find out what I had posted, only to be told I didn’t appear. And it would be two minutes before I could try again. Regardless of the mistaken reading, I really think you should be able to try again right away in instances where a search turns up nada.
Gee Sam, why is it we’ve never had any useful advice from the multitude of vB experts on this board chiming in on your problem? We’ve had no end of people telling us how easy it is to do stuff in vB – I wish they’d tell us what’s going on with you.
Jerry’s not been able to duplicate your problem so he can’t figure out what’s going on.
I can’t figure it out neither, which is quite frustrating to you and to me too. I hate mysteries like this and I wish someone could advise us what’s going on here.
I’m not sure what “zapped” means in this context but it doesn’t sound to me like a vB issue. It’s only by chance that I even looked at this thread. If you genuinely want help from people, you might want to consider asking them. I don’t want to dig through the whole other long thread. Would it be possible to describe what is going on?
