Maybe your reputation has gotten around!
What is the scam where you get a message saying “I was on the site. Already found a soul mate, but my really good friend was looking over my shoulder and that you were freaking awesome. Please email “clickbait@scammer.com” and she will send you a photo that rocks your socks off.”
I’ve gotten dozens of these replies on a dating site the purports to be for “highly educated” singles.
Anyone know what the scam is?
Back to the OP, if you’re not in my area and willing to grab a coffee in a public place in the next week or two, then certainly I lose interest. Plus, myself personally, find talking on the phone to be something I didn’t enjoy back in high school and that was decades ago. Let’s have a quick meet and greet, see if there is chemistry, see if your photo was a decade and a kilogram out of shape, or otherwise have a quick screen if it might make for an interesing dinner.
I’ve had plenty of enjoyable coffees that went exactly nowhere. No harm no foul.
