I recently subscribed to XBL after a few years of just using mine offline. I’m mainly using it for Hulu+ and ESPN360 due to a lack of cable around here.
I’ve played online a bit, though NCAA10 and FIFA10 are a bit out of date, and so hard to find matches for. I’ll prjobably be in an NCAA12 dynasty with some buddies when that comes out, but I’m wanting something to tide me over until then. I’m not great at shooters, but enjoy them generally.
So, any suggestions for games that I might be able to pick up and jump into online play? I somewhat prefer games that have a good online presence, have a learning curve that’s good for noobs, and also won’t be too expensive if I go used. Suggest based on any two of those three, really.
Brink is also kind of fun. Halo: Reach is personally my favorite out of the bunch. There’s Gears of War 2, with Gears of War 3 coming out a little later this year.
Also, I’ll add you to the SDMB Friends of Friends Gamertag. If you hit A on the account, then hit right, then hit A on “See Friends”, you’ll be able to see anyone that’s friended that Gamertag, if they’re online or not, and what they’re playing. You can send invites out to those folks online, if you desire. What’s your Gamertag?
Now, you might ask yourself why I set this up, instead of just adding people/Dopers to your Friends List. That’s because there’s a 100 friend limit and jerks like me are full up. This is a way to inflate the size of your Friends List and also to group people off by a common link (Like, in our case, Dopers).
