Do you have an Xbox 360? Do you want to be able to play with Dopers if need be?
Send a friend request to “aaa SDMB”. After that, go to that Gamertag (after you’ve been accepted, which you will) and hit A. Hit right, and hit A on “View Friends”. Go up and down the list and look at the Dopers and what they’re currently playing. Send invites as needed.

Right now I’m muddling my way through Orange Box achievements. Being a very poor online player, I have yet to play Team Fortress 2, so I’d be up for that (c’mere, little achievement points, c’mere…).

This is correct. I had almost a hundred people on my Friends list (for the billionth time) so having the SDMB denizens on a FOAF list really helps me out (I’m down to 87 friends on my list now. Counting people on the FOAF lists, I have roughly 300 people on my list.)
Also, when you see me online, I’ll probably be playing Halo 3. Just send me a game invite and unless I’m in the middle of something, I’ll hop over.

I am sturmhauke on Xbox Live, and a ton of other places as well. As far as I know, all instances of sturmhauke are me as of this post. Now, of course, some jackass will randomly decide to use my screenname and do jackass things with it.

It does get better, actually. Have you met my good friend, Call of Duty 4? 
I actually only play Arcade games, mostly. I’ll be busy with Metal Gear for the next week, but I will find time to befriend the hub-user. Anyone who wants a run for their money in Lumines, Poker Smash, or Worms, look for sidhePuck on there~!

It’s the eternal debate.
Personally i prefer Halo - but I normally play with at least one other guy i know, and i generally play ranked because the people in there are better/take it a bit more seriously (so you don’t get people shouting constantly in your ear or team killing).
Having stuck my head into Social the other day i can fully see why some people hate halo online. :eek:
