It’s not a new Windows O/S, per se. It is an integrated hardware/software/data system where the security is apparently hard-coded into the hardware.

Contrast the above article to Microsoft’s spin on it.
Read between the quote/commentary lines of the Microsoft spin doctors. It makes for more interesting reading.
If you wanna see their next incarnation of Windows, it’s codename is Longhorn.
That’s just for the desktop - and why on earth would they have a database-based filesystem?

Microsoft will never allow Apple to take a chunk out of the market share…
The minute Microsoft would put Palladium out…
Apple would respod with Marklar (OSX on x86)
making the “switch” look much more appealing
