martu, those look like the talents I took on my pally, except I’m not sure about Daybreak. I basically followed the recommended build at wow.joystiq.com that Bosstone linked to above (he linked to ret, but I went in and found the Holy build). Didn’t have time to play with it.
Tonight I’ll have to choose both specs for my priest (Holy/Shadow) and one for my lvl 73 pally (prot). Then I’ll get to play around. Wednesdays I usually play on my tank with my IRL friend, so I might not get around to doing much with my 80s until the weekend unless he has a lot of problems with the patch.
If anyone is playing a Disc priest, I’d really like to hear how that’s working out for you; just trying to figure out how the Archangel talent will work makes my head hurt.
Wee new talents and 20 new stables slots for my hunter! I went out and immediatly retamed my old Ravager and a raptor from Blades Edge (Someone tamed Takk before me). Then hit my first random with my trusty Core hound and had too much fun popping Bloodlust to even bring out my other pets. Focus was a little weird at first, but I think I’m getting used to it now. I’m sticking with Beast Mastery now, I did decent damage last night by just mashing my buttons so my damage should get better once I’m able to actually stick to a rotation.
I have a whole shopping list of pets I want to tame, today is going to be fun!
Hopped into a random last night with Jragon on my druid after I had specced him and Efflorecence is the best skill ever, or I’m just easily entertained. Tank left midway through our OK run so I had to switch over to tanking, it went well I think. Then again Tidy Plates was a little fubar so I couldn’t really tell if I was holding aggro or not, but things were dying so fast it really didn’t matter.
Havn’t played with the warrior yet and I still have to spec my paladin and my shaman.
Oh the glyphs… let’s just say I’m REALLY glad I have a max level Scribe right now, prices are insane on the AH.
Just jumped in with a quick look. I was in Stormwind, and apparently I am rediscovering all of it? Like, if you go into a section, it’ll do the ‘Discovered: Mage Quarter’ thing. Also, it’s starting to rumble! Hee hee hee.
Redid my talent tree, was simple enough. Now my rotation is messed up. Sad to lose Aspect of the Viper, would have hoped it was tweaked to regenerate Focus.
I’d give Curse some time to work things out. That was a heck of a screwed-up patch day, with tons of major changes, and I’m sure the addon creators need time to figure out all the changes and how to deal with them.
But you’ll make them free for guildies with mats, right? right?
On a related note, I’m planning for a money-making bonanza when Cata drops: I’ve been making and saving Frostweave bags for a few weeks now. They sell for 40-45g on Cairne right now, but I’m hoping for that price to jump way up when everyone in the world is rolling new alts in the new Azeroth.
Apparently, I finished the 1.2 GB DL sometime during the night. And when I got up this morning, the damn thing was downloading something else. Want to say about 500 MB worth of something else.
I know I bragged on WoW’s relatively smooth patches compared to EQ yesterday, but I’m taking that back now. 4.0.1 has been a clusterfuck. Whole thing is just way harder to get up and running than it should be. And way too much downloading needed on patch day. The whole point of the background downloader is to minimize that stuff. A solid 12 hours of downloading/installing/more downloading/still more downloading/who know what the fuck will be happening when I get home today is awful. As bad as most EQ patches. Worse than some.
Not sure what I’m gonna do in game tonight. Tentative plan is to go ahead and buy/enchant/gem the last two T10 pieces, since I can afford it with the Justice Point conversion. Then, prolly try a heroic, see how that goes–hope I at least get into the dungeon tonight rather than d/c like I did last night. After that, maybe a BG…or switching to the treehugger and sorting his stuff out…
On addons–none of mine were working last night. I use recount, Omen, DBM, and some cast-timer thing for mages whose name escapes me at the moment.

I did notice last night, and like, that the Guild Info tab can now display profession information for your guildmates. No more in guild chat, “Any j/c’s on?” or “Can someone do an enchant for me?”
Supposed to apply this patch, but only to ICC and RS.
Once I finally got logged in last night, my addons (even ones that were “updated”) were so borked I couldn’t play with them, and I’ve forgotten how to play without them. Guess it’ll be a couple of days before i can settle in and try the new stuff out.
Heh I lost a character. A level 55 Rogue on a server I don’t play anymore. In the realms list it says I have 7 characters but on the character screen I only have 6 and he’s gone. Strange. The characters on Cairne seem fine though.
Still just reading along…no game for me yet. Main download hadn’t finished before I had to leave this morning, and I’m guessing there’s more to download tonight :smack:
I did notice that my computer is running dangerously low on disk-space and I can’t find where it all went. Maybe I should start backing up some old work. Of course a new computer has been on the shopping list for about 6 months now.
I would think Netherweave bags would sell better to alts but either way you should be stockpiling the cloth not the crafted bags as that will take up less bank space.
