Thanks – and yeah I’ve been trying out the EJ rotation and it still feels awkward with some gaps when nothing is off CD. I suspect at least one of those gaps will be filled once we get Inquisition. I have Cons at the very end of my rotation, and I don’t use DS much since it acts like TV and consumes all my HoPo. I’ll have to see if that meshes better.
I don’t hit TV until I have at least 2 HoPo and I’m working on learning how to game the HoPo gain so that right after I hit TV/DS I’ll have another ability I can mash to regain at least 1 HoPo and I’m not just standing there twiddling my thumbs for a couple seconds.
These two facts are related, in my head. My retadin (and to a lesser extent my enh shaman) have niches in repeatedly stunning/hexing/herding/beating down lone support clothies, whether artillery or healer type. Ideally, and Palooka can correct me, but Retadins are best off in the pack in BGs, hunting down targets of opportunity and tossing heals otherwise, while keeping up retribution aura.
That’s pretty much what I do too, but now they (Elitist Jerks) are saying that separately popping AW and Zealotry is a 1% dps gain (under the “Cooldowns” section).
Last night, Cherrie advised me to use repair.exe program in the WoW folder which helped tremendously with my frozen/low fps rate. I also renamed my WTF folder to “WTFbackup” so it could create a new WTF folder with your account settings. It will reset your video/sound settings to default, but you can adjust them back to your liking and the fps is back to where it was before the patch.
I still use Seal of Truth and when I’m glyphed for it soon, I will get the 10 expertise which in turn means I can convert more expertise over to haste. I will then get rid of my Vengence of the Forsaken and replace it with a Herkumi War Token.
Sidenote: I don’t know how it happened, by I critted for 35k+ on HoW last night on one of the bosses in FoS or HoR when we did some 5mans after our raid last night. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Templar’s Verdict, but EJ did warn us that:
I know it sounds counterintuitive, but after your one filler/TV/DS spell, WAIT for your Crusader Strike to come off of CD and hit it next. Also, I tend to hit judgement every other cycle to keep the mana up. Next, work on getting your haste up so you can get your CS cooldown from 4 seconds down to 3 seconds and then things will not be awkward anymore - that is the key here…then you will be a lean, mean, killing machine!
I’ve done very little questing on my holy pally since the patch, but it seemed like Excorcism has no cooldown. And since the cast time is longer than the GCD, I can just keep casting it over and over again (not that I’ve decided that’s a good idea).
But you say “If Exo is unavailable…”. When is it unavailable? Or was I just not paying close enough attention?
Ah, I get it. Still with the removal of the CD, Exo has (I think) become my go-to dps ability in between Holy Shocks. I’ll have to see what it does to my mana.
When you click on the candy bucket, you pick up a container of candy (called a Handful of Candy). You can only have one Handful of Candy in your bags at a time. What you have to do is, after you click on the candy bucket, go into your bags and right-click on the Handful of Candy and it’ll dispense the candy into your bags. Then you can go click on another candy bucket immediately (or whenever you get to the next inn).
He actually comes down. In the secondary towns (Goldshire and Kharanos (and, I think, Dolanaar), there should be an orphan matron beside a tub of water. Click on her for the Firefighting Practice quest, then follow her directions to go practice dipping out buckets and throwing them on fires. Then go back and when the Horseman event starts, you can do the bucket brigade on the fires that he sets in the town (he’s flying around up in the air…that’s why you don’t usually see him). If you (and everyone else in the town) put out the fires, the Horseman will land and you can fight him, then loot his pumpkin head when he dies. You can bring the object that you loot from the pumpkin to the matron to get some goodies.
Basically, since it’s a “Handful of Candy”, your hand is still full of candy. Can’t grab more candy while your hands are full
I’m a bit puzzled about the HH - I can’t seem to attack him. At first I thought it was because he was just getting burned down too quickly by the closer 80s, but my mage tried casting a spell at him before anybody got to him and I just kept getting an “Invalid Target” error message.
Was he actually down off the horse? He isn’t a valid target until after he lands and the horse disappears (and there seems to be about a 1/2 second lag after that, too).
Okay, I reached level 70 in that profession and so now I’m a “journeyman herbalist”.
Where do I go next?
The online guides say The Barrens, but not until 75, so I don’t understand: do I stay in Elwynn and collect 5 more herbs before moving to the Barrens or can I go now?
