In a serious raid or even a PUG, sure, I agree. It’s also a bad idea because it could have caused me to go OOM which would have been a problem. But this was a casual guild run of content we already outgeared so I wasn’t endangering the raid or anything. If anyone in the guild thinks I wasn’t taking it seriously enough I’ll apologize 
So for PvZ, do people not use the stone things to block? Maybe I’m wasting my time with them.

The Rocknuts can be useful, sure. Really, any combination of tentacles, rocknuts, and freezers will do the job, so long as you have a stable row (or two) of sunflowers and a row of shooters.
If my sweetie wasn’t so on-and-off again about WoW, I would get one for him.
The problem would be that he would likely tear up the Alliance banner after one too many depressing Wintergrasp scenarios. 
Agreed. Pumpkin level is ouch. Even knowing what I need, I still would put things wrong and arrrgh…
At least I finally figured out I can just jump out and start over, rather than wasting time finishing a losing battle first.
And hopefully they fixed the bug where you complete everything and the game just keeps going on and on and on and on…

Ooh, that happened to me one round that I otherwise would have won. I’m glad it didn’t happen after the pumpkin round or I might have hurt someone.
It happened to me twice, both times on the pumpkin round. I was not happy. But by the second time I had a foolproof way to beat it, so it wasn’t quite as bad.
Fair enough. **BT **just seemed to beating himself up over it, so I just wanted to make sure that he knew that someone else sniping his heals wasn’t his problem, per se.
I used them more on the failed attempts. On the successful one, I maybe only used one or two when I really needed to buy some time.
That was a bug, and it’s been fixed. They’re paying 13g 23s once again.
And hey, guess what else happens starting next Tuesday?

I’ve never been in a raid where sniping heals was an uproarious issue. As long as people receive heals and are kept alive, everyone is happy IME. This may come into play more in heroic modes where mana may be an issue, but for normal runs it’s always been heal away. Then again, my raid members aren’t the kind of people who hump the meters and get upset if they’re not #1 in any particular metric. YMMV, of course.
Not at all. I was feeling a bit self-conscious because I was in ICC in <=232 gear dealing with a spec I hadn’t had much experience with since 4.0. I’m not angry at Skammer in any way, just to be clear, just lamenting my own problems during the run. As long as the group survives, the healers did their job; I just hate feeling like deadweight, so I overanalyze my own performance.
ouch! Well, that just means by the time you get around to playing your new Worgen or Goblin that maybe the areas will have cleared out a bit. Just be sure to reserve whatever names you want pronto!
I’m primarily alliance now but made a goblin to explore the new horde areas. There was no way in the world I was going to get Goblin or OneEye as names for a new gobbo shammy <yep, names from a series of books, ones that I am positive have been taken a million times over> but I did find a nickname for Goblin in the Black Company book I’m currently reading, and so Shortwart is all mine, muahahaha!!
Yeah – like Headrush, my bunch don’t mind much about meters other than measuring our personal performance. I’ve never had a complaint about sniping heals but I can see how it’d happen in more hardcore guilds. (I’m usually a tank heal but I’ll happily use free GCDs to throw CoH and Renews around as needed)
Now that my main has Kingslayer (woo hoo! And it wasn’t even our last try! 
) I’ve been pottering around bumping off various achievements. I only have one book left for “Well Read”, which took me an entire afternoon to do, and I’ve started plugging away at Loremaster again. So I just have … uh, 3.1 zones left to do before I can get started on the Cata zones.
I gotta say though, the Apexis Shards are a pain in the ass, almost as much as the Netherwing eggs. grumble And it’s still impossible to solo the last wave of the Skyguard assault at Bash’ir’s Landing as far as I can tell. Has anyone done that successfully?
BTW, this is kind of a nooby question, but google isn’t helping much:
Are there PvP rewards for level 40 gear? Not mounts, but gear? I’ve been PvP’ing for xp on and off since level 10, and have all these honor points and can’t find anything to spend them on. The level 20 vendor didn’t have much, though I did get a couple of things. Now I’m almost 40 and just hoping there’s another vendor out there I just am not seeing.
Gear would be nice~!
To answer my own question, sorta…I am going to try to find the Arathi Basin guy in Arathi. I have no idea if he’s still there after all the changes or not, but it looks like there’s a piece or two I could get from there at least.
Any more advice would be awesome, though; trying to gear a Paladin is hard, especially since I’m’ afraid to do dungeon runs as a tank and can’t imagine being Prot and being anything but tank. But that’s my scaredy-pants issue. I just need to find some other way to gear him a bit without bankruping the rest of my toons. 
adhemar: OK, Desta the lvl 58 DK is parked in Lor’danel, if you need an escort somewhere. I noticed a lot of people there - perhaps you got lucky and found a passing mage?
If not, post here and we’ll try to work out a time to ride out.
Report on Gamebox and Fraps: I was on WoW earlier this evening and didn’t realize that Gamebox was off and the lag was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t move Wolkie hardly any at all and when he DID move (tried to get on the Kraken in Valiance Keep) the boat had already left.
Once I realized that 'box was off and turned it on - no problem. I was on at about 5:45 this evening when that happened, and I realize that WoW is probably still having those kinds of problems, but I have never seen it that bad before.
The Fraps numbers were crazy 2-45 to 58 back to 2… etc.

Just noticed the new Cat graphics - pretty cool. Also noticed 2 NPC’s who seem to be related: Auctioneer and Officer Jaxon in the SW AH.

I ran to Rachet, caught the boat to Booty Bay and once I found the flight point there flew to Westfall where I just happily killed some gnolls and murlocs. Whoo hoo! 
The only bad part was I kept being attacked on the road in the Barrens, so I endeed up running across the savannah to the river figuring if I died I would at least resurrect at a differnt point.
Actually the bad part was falling in Booty Bay and I couldn’t get back on shore where I could climb up to the city. Died there by some Defias dude that didn’t even have level numbers just question marks.
